Going to Vegas and thinking about South Point? Don’t! Unless you enjoy a smoked filled, humid, warm stale air casino! Even in your rooms the air quality provided noise bleeds and headaches from the poor circulation system. The pool was awesome but did not get to the spa though. The food was not worth the price of the buffet but the Del Mar Deli had incredible service and delicious soup and nice fresh options. We met up there with family and we had two teens with us as we were looking for other family members when a very rude hostess came up to us yelling that we needed to get the teens out of there. We will never recommend nor go back to this joint! Even people in the elevator that were there for a bowling convention were coerced into coming a day early. We traveled via car cross country to this mess! I feel sorry for the kind workers who has to work in such an environment! It would be worth it to splurge and stay at the M down the street. Uber there from M, less than a ten minute ride. PS: the hotel charges you $33 per day for resort fees! Not included in your hotel room👎🏻

My husband and I stayed here three nights, traveling with friends who wanted to attend the Glass Craft and Bead expo at the casino. We had a premium king size suite. It was very nice. We had two comfortable upholstered chairs and an upholstered footstool. I enjoyed having a small table with 2 chairs, plus a desk with chair. The long dresser offered plenty of storage. I really appreciated having electrical outlets and charging ports on the nightstands on either side of the bed. We had a fridge and coffee maker we never used. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had one sink (enough) and plenty of counter space. I loved having hot water on demand in the bathroom sink so I could wash my face with warm water. We were on the fourteenth floor and had a decent mountain view. The parking was free both in the surface lot and in the parking garage. The primary disadvantage of this hotel is that it is far from the activities, restaurants and shops on the Strip. We Ubered to shows on the Strip several times. The South Point’s lobby does not have a high ceiling or a beautiful botanical display or art display. This casino is unusual in that it offers an indoor equestrian arena where rodeos take place. The comfortable seating surrounds an oval shaped arena. The casino host competitions such as the Las Vegas National Horse Show. Also, the casino has two separate bowling areas: one for normal guests and another for professional bowling tournaments. During our stay the United States Bowling Conference was having a 2024 championship tournament with 52 teams from 50 cities and 15 states. The casino’s sit down breakfast at Coronado Cafe was very reasonably priced, especially after midnight. We had good breakfasts both times we ate there. This is a good safe place to stay if you don’t want to fight the crowds on the Strip or venture to sleazy downtown Fremont Street.

The food isn’t nearly as good as it has been in the past, though the service is still good. Very bland food. Rooms are looking very worn and need an upgrade. Casino staff are rude and condescending. We will stay at higher end casinos on the strip in the future. This isn’t the Southpoint that we’ve stayed at many times in the past. Whatever changed needs to be put back into place.

Valet never showed up after waiting 45 minutes. There were no blankets or "Fun Books" in our room. Pool was freezing and we could not swim. March 26 at 8:20am, we were locked out of our room as my husband's key card would not work. We called from the hallway and either got hung up on or no answer. Check out is 12 noon! A Security guard had to escort us to our room where our IDs where. This was a very humiliating experience. Staff was not apologetic at all.

Great bell man brought my luggage to my room awesome. Hotel room great. Just the long walk to tournament lanes was hard on me at my age of 75. Food great at Baja Miguels. Walking from tournament to pick up bowling brackets was an really long walk for me especially having my bowling equipment with me,and already checked out.
